Opinions Needed

Hey everyone,

Here are some mock ups I did of my postcards. I will eventually have two plates made (one of the lined drawing and the second with just color) and eventually I will hand ink and print these myself and hand them out for everyone to enjoy and give me work. I just want some of your opinions before I send in the paperwork to get this done.

By the way... the blue one was supposed to be yellow, but I forgot to convert it to RGB. Too late now.

Fish Concepts

Today I had such a sudden burst of inspiration and immediately got to sketching. I thought of different ideas for my business/postcards, t-shirt designs, and a shower curtain I would like to make. Along the way I decided to scan a few fish I have drawn over the past year and play with them in photoshop. Here are the results! I don't know how it'll end up, but here are some ideas I threw together.

Here's a few pages from my sketchbook. It's almost finished!

I'm thinking with my new one... I will explore with different mediums and finish a page until I like it. Maybe I will treat it more as a journal again! I realize I only write when I am unhappy and need an outlet. And well lately, I just haven't been sad for long period of time! I've just been generally happy, optimistic, and hopeful. I just forget to take some time to document my life. I need to do that, especially when I am happy! For myself. It's a personal goal!

I had so much fun doing these and now I must find other things to put them on. I am thinking a bathroom decor set, like a shower curtain, and hand/bath towels. Also, I wanted to sew a shirt and silkscreen some fish swimming through seaweed/hair. We will see! I keep changing my mind. I will post soon!!

Fish!

Here's a sneak peek of something I've been working on!

It's self promotional. I am thinking of putting this image on a postcard along with other images relating to fish (surprise! surprise!) on various things like business cards, clothes, and greeting cards. Something I can try and sell for Noel Night this year.

The second rendering isn't the direction I am taking it. I was in creative mode all day and after classes I uploaded my sketch and played around in Photoshop. The final piece will be a print about 9"x12". I can't wait to get started I love printmaking!

My mind is in a million places and I don't even know what to focus on first. There's so much I want to get accomplished this summer and upcoming semester. It's going to be a good one! AHHHH! :)
